On Friday, August 15, 2025, Westminster proudly hosted its annual Night of Champions during halftime of the home football game against rival Lovett, in the spirited tradition of the Battle of Buckhead. The evening was dedicated to honoring the extraordinary accomplishments of Westminster's state championship teams, coaches, and individual student-athletes from the 2024–25 school year.
Before the game, honorees and their coaching staffs were welcomed to a VIP tent experience, complete with refreshments and exclusive Nike Night of Champions shirts, celebrating their dedication and excellence across multiple programs.
2025 GHSA 4A Boys Soccer State Champions
Led by Head of Program Scott Snyder and Assistant Coaches Daniel Searl, Gerry Romberg, Bill Scruggs, Steve Drinkell, Michael Saadine, and Chad Bull, the Boys Soccer team delivered one of the year's most dramatic moments—defeating longtime rival Marist in penalty kicks to claim their second consecutive state championship.
Instrumental in the Wildcats' success were Will Stewart, Will Samady, Cooper Widness, and Anderson Lee, who helped secure the title in a high-pressure finish. The victory adds to Westminster's storied soccer legacy and further cements the program's dominance at the state level.

2025 GHSA 4A Girls Tennis State Champions
The Girls Tennis team, led by Head of Program Liesel Good and Assistant Coaches Ricky Dimon and Caleb Boone, earned their second straight state title with a 3–0 victory over Pace Academy, echoing last year's championship match up.
Sophomore Mary Kate Monk clinched the title point in a hard-fought battle, capping off an undefeated season. Senior Shea Pettit, a captain and standout leader, closed her career with a remarkable 55–4 record. The win speaks to the consistency, discipline, and culture of excellence within the program.

2025 GHSA 4A Boys Tennis State Champions
Under the guidance of Head of Program Ralph Geeza and Assistant Coaches Jaime Maxey and Ben Mosteller, the Boys Tennis team captured its fifth consecutive state championship, finishing the season with a 20–5 record and a 3–1 win over Marist in the final.
Key contributors included Landon Cummings (14–2 season record) and Deven Patel, who closed out his high school career with an impressive 40–16 record. The program's five-year run of titles marks one of the most dominant stretches in Westminster athletics.

2025 GHSA 4A Girls Track & Field State Champions
The Girls Track & Field team delivered an emotional and inspiring performance, dedicating their title to the memory of the late Head of Program Gary Jones. Interim Head Coach Jason Vuckovic and a dedicated staff—including LB Joel, Chuck Easley, Katrina Harkins, Byron Curtis, JB Gilbert, Saidah Jones, and Tom Rentenbach—guided the team through a championship journey filled with resilience and heart.
The state title came down to the final event, the 4x400-meter relay, where Lucy Johnson, Caryssa Snyder, Jaina Alexander, and Marci Kinerman broke a school record to claim first place and secure 10 crucial points, edging Harris County by just three points. This win marks the team's fourth straight state championship.
