Launched in 2023, the Atlanta Coaching Collective was founded with a clear mission: to foster a vibrant and supportive network of coaches across Atlanta and equip them with the tools, strategies, and insights needed to thrive in today's evolving athletic landscape. Through dynamic speakers, relevant topics, and meaningful conversations, the ACC provides a rare space for coaches to learn, connect, and grow together.

This year's lineup features nationally recognized leaders in coaching, sports performance, and athletic administration, offering attendees a full morning of actionable learning and inspiration.

One of the most successful coaches in NCAA women's soccer history, Becky Burleigh will kick off the morning with a compelling keynote on what makes a team not just perform—but thrive. Drawing from a coaching career that includes a national championship and 14 SEC titles at the University of Florida, Burleigh will unpack the essential elements of high-performing cultures rooted in trust, clarity, and accountability. Coaches will leave with tangible strategies to elevate their team environments immediately.

Title: From Pros to Parents: Navigating Youth Sports
This candid and insightful conversation features four former professional athletes—now parents—reflecting on their transition from elite-level sports to supporting their children on the sidelines. Topics will include balancing pressure with joy, redefining success, and offering meaningful support as a sports parent.

Designed for new and aspiring head coaches, this session explores what it takes to step confidently into leadership. Chris Pollard (University of Virginia Baseball) and James Ramsey (Georgia Tech Baseball) will share their personal journeys, challenges, and approaches to creating impactful program culture from day one.

Title: High Performance Trends in High School Sports: A Data-Driven Q&A
Moderated by Dr. Kyle Hammond, team physician for the Atlanta Braves, Hawks, and Falcons, this session will explore the future of athlete development through technology and sports science. Featuring experts Nick Gibson (P3 ATL) and Dr. Eric Nichols (Maven Performance), this panel will dive into how biomechanics, injury prevention, and performance analytics are reshaping youth sports.
Closing Session | 11:45 AM – 12:30 PM
Title: From the AD's Chair: What Makes Coaches Great
Speaker: Josh Brooks, Director of Athletics at the University of Georgia
As the leader of one of the most successful athletic departments in the country—including four national titles in 2025 alone—Josh Brooks will close the event with a powerful perspective on what sets great coaches apart. He'll share what he looks for in hiring and developing coaches and how leadership at the top can impact an entire program.
