Megan Ailshie
Girls Golf Head of Program
Megan Ailshie is entering her fourth year at The Westminster Schools, where she teaches Lower School Physical Education and serves as the Head of Program for Girls Golf. Megan has coached a variety of sports at multiple levels, including Assistant Varsity Soccer (State Champions 2023), Head JV Volleyball, Assistant JV Basketball, Head of Middle School Basketball, and Head of Middle School Volleyball. She was named an AVCA 30 Under 30 honoree in 2022 and has contributed to player development with Georgia Tech’s volleyball program.
In 2019, Megan began coaching at The University of Alabama as an Assistant Volleyball Coach through the 2021 season. She started her coaching career at her alma mater, Dobyns-Bennett High School, as the Head Varsity Volleyball Coach from 2016–2018, leading the team to a third-place finish at the Tennessee State Tournament. In addition, she spent seven years coaching at the club level with Kingsport Volleyball Club.Â
A decorated collegiate athlete, Megan played under her mother, current ETSU head coach Lindsey Devine, at East Tennessee State University (ETSU). She is one of the most accomplished players in ETSU volleyball history: a three-time First Team All-Atlantic Sun honoree, two-time conference Player of the Year, AVCA Division I All-American (2012), and AVCA All-Region (2012–2013). She helped lead ETSU to its first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2012 and a conference championship in 2013.
After graduating from ETSU in 2014 with a B.A. in Physical Education and four-time A-Sun All-Academic honors, Megan played professionally in Sweden with Hylte VBK, finishing second in the Swedish League. She earned her Master’s in Educational Leadership from Union College in 2017. Megan was inducted into the ETSU Hall of Fame in 2024.
She is married to Tyler Ailshie, and they have two sons, Baylor and Cooper.
