Lauren Carter, MS, ATC
Director of Middle School Physical Education & Health 

Lauren Carter has been part of the Westminster community since 2005, first serving as an Assistant Athletic Trainer before transitioning to full-time teaching in Middle School Physical Education and Health. She currently oversees the Middle School PE program and has developed a comprehensive health curriculum for students in grades six through eight.

A Georgia native and graduate of Parkview High School, Lauren played three years of college basketball at Valdosta State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training. She went on to complete her master’s degree in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training at Georgia State University, serving as a Graduate Assistant with Emory University’s Sports Medicine Department and working with women’s soccer, basketball, and softball.

In addition to her teaching role, Lauren is Head Coach of the Middle School Softball team, assists with JV Softball, and previously spent six years on the Varsity coaching staff. She also leads The Big Sisters program, a leadership and mentorship initiative that pairs 8th grade girls with incoming 6th graders to foster community, connection, and growth.
