Katie Mailhot
Assistant Athletic Director, Operations | Girls Lacrosse Head of Program

Katie Mailhot joined the Westminster Athletics department in 2017 as Assistant Athletic Director for Operations and Head of the Girls Lacrosse Program. She brings more than two decades of experience as both a coach and a player at the highest levels of women’s lacrosse.

Before coming to Westminster, Katie served as Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Goucher College (2005–13) and as Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Colorado College (2013–17). While at Colorado College, she helped guide the program to back-to-back NCAA Division III Sweet Sixteen appearances (2016, 2017). Across her collegiate coaching career, she mentored more than 50 student-athletes to All-Conference and All-Conference Academic Honors and over 16 student-athletes to Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Region recognition.

A standout player herself, Katie played collegiately at Colby College, where she set multiple program and season statistical records—several of which still stand today. She started 62 of 64 career games for the nationally ranked program, captained the team as a senior, and was a four-time Dean’s List student. Her honors include: Colby Rookie of the Year (2000), team MVP (2003), Warrior/Inside Lacrosse Second Team All-American (2003), IWLCA First Team All-Region (2003), First Team All-NESCAC (2003), and IWLCA Senior All-Star (2003). Prior to her collegiate career, she was named a USA Lacrosse High School All-American (1999).

At Westminster, Katie has continued her tradition of excellence, leading the Varsity Girls Lacrosse team to multiple State Tournament appearances, including runs to the State Championship finals. In recognition of her impact on Westminster Athletics, she was awarded the Wildcat Way Award in 2022.
